One of the main barriers to adoption of the Cerca system in the clinical community is the lack of established analysis pipelines and techniques. Current analyses consist of custom written scripts by OPM-MEG research groups and require the user to also have a relatively high understanding of coding.
BESA is a leading company in the field of EEG/MEG analysis, with products that have been developed on the basis of 30 years’ experience in human brain research. Dr Christine Embury, postdoctoral fellow at YE, has extensive experience with the software across MEG applications, and has now incorporated it with OPM data processing. She finds that analyses can be visualised quickly and conveniently and checked at every processing step, with minimal button clicks and intuitively designed controls. BESA can streamline and standardise the processing pipeline, leading to reliable, reproducible results.
